I just pickup a used HO Bachmann Spectrum Doodlebug and discovered that one of the drive gears is cracked. Does anyone know what replacement gear will fit? I have used Athearn gears for some of my older P2K diesels but don't think they are the same type as used in the Bachmann loco. I checked with Bachmann website for replacement parts and they don't have the power truck available and don't list any individual gears. Any suggestions?

Mine has the same problem, and likewise I looked at the Bachmann website to see what you saw. I will be calling Bachmann when I get a chance next week. The axle gears have diagonal teeth, and are not the same as others I have here. After super-gluing the gear togther and on the axle, the model will run again but not smoothly. The power truck is a bit challenging to work on.

Check with NWSL. They still do a gear business and might actually have the gears your looking for.
