Greetings from Denver!
I want to build an N-scale municipal fountain using side-glow fiber and an LED multicolor light fixture that I salvaged from a hot tub, but I'm having trouble finding a source for a small quantity of very thin (1mm or less) side-glow fiber.
There are sources that would sell me a 100' spool, but I need a bit less, maybe two feet at most.
Anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks,
-doug-
I found this on first google search for "side glow fiber optic":

Once it's cut, You bought it!!! They also seem to have light sources.

Just my thoughts, ideas, opinions and experiences. Others may vary.
HO and N Scale.
After long and careful thought, they have convinced me. I have come to the conclusion that they are right. The aliens did it.
I like these guys: http://www.thefiberopticstore.com/purchase/index.htm They're modeler oriented, see their Galley. You can buy whatever you need, no minimums.
If you have to buy more than you need to get what you want, divide the leftovers and repackage it and sell it on ebay etc.
