I've decided to model the Fort Worth & Denver in the early to mid 1970's with the possibility of backdating to the early 1950's. I believe I've gone just about as far as I can go with internet based research, and I have discovered two books to help me. Can anyone recommend one over the other?
1st "The Colorado Road" History, Motive Power & Equipment of the Colorado & Southern and Fort Worth and Denver Railways by F. Hol Wagner.
2nd. Wendover Acme & Virginia Point; A Contemporary Look at the Colorado & Southern & Fort Worth & Denver.

You don't say what you are looking for from the books, but what about Richard C. Overton's Burlington Route.
I have the Colorado Road by Hol Wagner and strongly recommend it. I have not seen the other book.
In 1970, C&S and FW&D became "fallen flags" when to BN merger took place.

I have the Steve Goen FW&D book that covers the end of steam through to the end of the FW&D. Lots of good color photos of late steam and early diesels. Have not seen the other two books.
