Rustoleum makes several kinds of clear coat finishes. I can find them in nearly any hardware store.

BobL609I seem to inhabit an area of the country where LHS's do not carry Testor's Dullcoat. Can anyone suggest a viable substitute?

Over the years I've bought quite a few Dull-Cote spray cans, and they have come from the LHS and Michaels and at one time Hobby Lobby.
For structures, I use the Model master flat finish and brush on - using a long soft bristle brush - and find it better than the spray (for small items).
However, the odor is something else - so be careful.

Model Master and Floquil are both Testors products, so any shop that has them can also get Testors for you.

It's been that way here for a couple of years. Wal-mart in the US doesn't sell any models or supplies. The ones here don't even carry the 1:87 vehicles.
I also use the Krylon.
Good product.
