Good Morning Everyone,

I overslept - well, not really. I could not find a good night´s rest and stayed up until 4 am, just too many bad thoughts in my head. The sudden death of my MRR buddy Wolfgang really caught me - how fragile life is!

Zoe, I need a bucket of coffee to get me going today, thank you.

Sam - it was me, who asked that question. In Germany, quite a lot of the railroad men are also into the hobby of MRRing, actually, I believe they form the largest group among us. No need to hide your interest from your co-workers.

Garry - that Rhaetian Railway is certainly something! It is a huge network of 1000 mm narrow gauge line, running on 10kV AC - with the exception of the Bernina line, which runs on 1000 V DC. This line sports tram-like curves, tunnels with a full circle, likewise viaducts - just like a huge model railroad. In fact, I believe that when HE created Switzerland, he had a model railroad in mind!

Ken - no harm done! Unfortunately, our monthly "allowance" does not provide sufficient funds for anything else than buying our food, pay the energy bill and our telephone/internet. There is absolutely no room for anything extra other than about $ 30/month for gas. I don´t know , for how long I will be able to keep our car, which my father bought us. It still makes me raving mad to be "condemned" to poverty after 30 years of hard work. I´d better step off the soapbox, though...

Ray - I was not aware that upstate NY is a wine growing area. The wine must be pretty good stuff, as none of it finds its way into our super markets.

Any news from Keith? Jerry? Bama?

You all have a good day!
