With the electronic related problems that you're describing, I would not wait. I would demand that if this unit cannot be repaired within a short time that it be exchanged for another one.

I would suggest that you e-mail this thread to BLI. One modeler did this recently on another thread and received a response as he included his e-mail address.

I like the BLI's myself but as I mentioned on another thread, Broadway has been having problems with a small but significant percentage of the locomotives that they've been releasing. The majority of them being steamers though a vendor I spoke to reported that some of the GG1s had mechanical problems. He indicated that BLI made an effort to satisfy customers with problems.

Hopefully Broadway Limited managers are working aggresively to resolve some of these issues. I'm just "assuming" but I imagine that it must be somtimes difficult for management since the units are built in China, so there's probably plenty of phoning,
e-mailing, and faxing going on.

[/quote]

AntonioFP45,

When I´m right he operate his layout with DC (NOT DCC !!!!). And then is all that he wrote normal !!!!!

The high start voltage and all this facts sounds normal !!! Only the "Voltage to high" alarm I never hear before!

All my BLI´s, my Lionel Veranda and my TRIX DCC Bigboy works in this way !!!

SOMETIMES YOU GOTTA COMPROMISE !

This is important when you run DCC models under DC !!!!

BTW: BLI´s manufactor is in KOREA not CHINA.

Note to TRAINGUY1700:

Doubleheading two DCC locos will work!!!
