According to my Rivarossi 1998 catalog that model has a five-pole motor with flywheel,wormgear trans and metal chassis, if they are one & the same. Think they were sold for $100.00 by modelexpo. www.golfmanorhobbies.com is the current authorizied riv repair center. I owned the Riv FEF, Challenger and Mallet, all problematic. Your $55.00 is way out of line IMO. If you are sill interested in a steamer review the merits of the New Bachmann Spectrum HW and the New Riv FEF-3. Both were reviewed by MR and since I do own both, I'm Q U A L I F I E D.
