I don't know who he is but this is posted on the yahoo digitrax groups. The heading says he passed on 5/11
"I was just notified by his brother, one of my correspondents, I think from here,BiL Marsland passed away a few days ago from a massive heart attack."
Springfield PA
He started on here some time ago but got a rather cool reception and quickly jumped to Big Blue (where I post as well). He was formerly fromt he Phildaelphia area and a fan of the Reading, although he was retired to FLorida. He had recently rekindled his interest int eh hobby and was havign fun learnign about all the new materials and techniques since he was last active. With no room for a home layout, he managed to find a nearby club and join, but it was about as far from his primary interest as you could get - they model Santa Fe. But Bil jumped in with both feet and was enjoying toe comradarie and the chance to run trains again. And most of all, Bil liked helping others usign is background in industrial design and art. He will be greatly missed. Since first learning the news last wek I've been in a bit of a funk about modeling. Strange I suppose since this is someone I only knew via an internet forum and not for a terribly long time, but he made a big impression and his sudden and untimely passing is goign to leave a big hole.

Randy's capsulated history of biL pretty well says it all. He was an accomplished modeller, a proud (and opinionated) American, a loving father and grandfather, and, most importantly for me, a good friend. I will miss him.
