Good Morning Everyone! (Good Night, Keith!)

Mah nah, mah nah? Not again [:-^]

No, Zoe, promised - I won´t sing, I will just stay here, enjoy my French Sunday breakfast and keep quiet. Thank you - that´s my gal!

Keith - I bet you and I are the living proof, that your song can´t be right. We both are happy, and our wives may not be pretty in terms of a Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell or Linda Evangelista, but they are pretty to us. (So, now that Petra is not looking over my shoulder any more ... [:-^]

John - I am sorry for all the hassle you have to go through with that HO scale structure that wants to be an N scale one. I am always afraid of things like this happen, when I place an order to overseas vendors. Return shipping easily adds to $ 50 - 75, which is prohibitive.

Chuck - thanks for your PM. I have lost track of all the names that appeared in the Diner within the last 15 months. Seems as if I am getting old now, I start to forget things (especially those, which are on my HD list). There has been a lot of coming and going recently, with a number of people showing up only occasionally. For the sake of security and protection, there is no list of names and addresses, other than the one posted here a long time ago.

1. Well, they handed him his orders in Monroe, Virginia,
Sayin', "Steve, you're way behind time.
This is not 38, it is Old 97
You must put her into Spencer on time."

2. Well, the engineer he said to his black, greasy fireman
"Shovel on a little more coal,
And when we cross that White Oak Mountain
You can watch Old 97 roll."

3. It's a mighty hard road from Lynchburg to Danville
A road with a three-mile grade.
It was on that grade that he lost his air brake,
You can see what a jump she made.

4. He was goin' down the grade making 90 miles an hour,
When his whistle broke into a scream,
He was found in the wreck with his hand on the throttle,
He was scalded to death by the steam.

5. Now the telegram came into Washington Station
And this is what it said:
That brave engineer that drove old 97
Is layin' down in Danville, dead.

6. Now listen, all you ladies, you must all take a warning,
From this story a lesson learn:
Never speak harsh words to your true lovin' husband,
He may leave you and never return.

[:-^]

Ouch - that hurts! Yes, Zoe, I had promised not to sing, yes, I won´t do it again - now will you please stop beating me with that pan? Thank - you are so kind!

Have a good Sunday!
