Good Afternoon,

though it is a nice day, it is somewhat dull and boring. Went out for a moment to do a little train watching - not a big deal, as our flat is less than 100 yards away from a main line. 6 trains in 15 minutes - not bad for a Sunday.

Zoe, I´ll just have a big mug of coffee, please.

I have declared my layout plans to be final - I will go for the version with the big train hall. That will be an eye catcher and somehow a "natural" end of the layout. Talked to my friend about constructing the benchwork - guess I will have to wait a little longer for him to find the time to do it with me. That will give me the time to work out a "schedule" for the train operation on that layout. It may appear a little odd to have a schedule for the train moves, but I read about it in a book and it will certainly add a little suspense to it.

A web search has led to a number of pictures and textures, which I can use to make the back drop. You can download them for free - another boost to my shoestring budget. Take a look at all those textures here. Come to think of it, once I get started on it, I maybe should write a feature for MR "A Layout on a Budget" [:D]

Morgan - the words you quoted "We hold these truth's to be self evident, that all men are created equal. However, after the instant of conception, it all pretty much comes down to your net worth" really made me think about my net worth - nothing? Any other comment, than just "Oh, what a world we live in!" would probably blow the framework of this forum, but what´s the worth of a society which reduces people to his/hers net worth? End of rant...

A la prochaine, mes amis!
