Good Afternoon Folks,

A dull and cold day - still no sign of Spring - no Barry, not your cat! I will go to the train station in a couple of hours to pick up Christian and his girl friend. His mother is already nervous - we have not seen him since the turn of the year.

Chloe, I´ll have my afternoon coffee and a jam-filled bagel, please.

Barry - seems, as if we a sharing the same heart problems. My old ticker sometimes also has a hitch in his git-along and that ain´t no fun, so please take care, listen to the doc and do what he suggests you to do! (Yes, Mother!)

Ray - your are blessed with a cute granddaughter [tup]

I am still fiddlin´ around with my track plan. Simplified it a little to cut down cost, without sacrificing "operation". Well, I know, it´ll be more like a diorama than a layout, but what the h..., it is back to model railroading!

Just to share my latest thoughts with you:

As you can see, I am pondering to go back to the solution with those two traversers. I have lengthened the left one, so I can have two coaches on it (+ loco on the siding). The right one just holds a loco (or a DMU). Both traverser will in any case be detachable, should I find a better, i.e. bigger place for my layout, I can easily add new track to it.

I hope the postman will bring a book about small layouts UK style - I found a used one in the internet for 1 Euro + postage! That´ll give me some more ideas - hopefully.

And here is the bad news for you chowhounds - Petra still won´t let me swipe a sample from that cake, and I have no hopes that there will be leftovers!

Have a good day!
