Taking a Blune Line AC 6000 a part question.

 Guess it has been 3 years now sense I took apart a Blue Line 6000 and getting the shell off was a pain. Found BLI had sent me the wrong LED and sent the engine back to them in parts. Never did reassemble the engine.

 Now I have a spike sucked up into the speakers and time to take it a part again. Any tips on taking the shell off? When I first did it, no one here a the site had done it before.

all I remember about that model was that it was a pain. The Front Pilot assembly is a separate part so be careful removing the shell as it has a tendency to get caught on the ditchlight led panel.

Its a very tight fit.

Basicaly it's remove teh couplers and lift gently.

Ken,

I changed all the LED's in My AC6000 & the shell was tricky to get off, it needs a a lot of wiggling & twisting to remove it. I remember that the rear & the cab area were sticking points on mine & also the reverse when re-installing. I remember thinking I was going to break it, as much as I was forcing it. But. It survived. It just takes fiddling, I think I worked on the rear, then front, back to the rear, then the front, to 'ladder' it up off the chassis.
