Bachmann Spectrum stops on turnout

Hello,
I have a Bachmann Spectrum light mountain (4-8-2)locomotive that when run at slow speeds and crossing a Bachmann nickel-silver #5 turnout stops. I have to push it forward about the width of a RR tie to get it to start running again.
Any suggestions as to what might need to be adjusted?
Thanks
Ron
ps A Proto SD60 & GP30 work fine

I don't own Bachmann, but you can also try their site. www.bachmann-trains.com/ and click on Ask the Bachmann Man.

sometimes what happens is that there is no power to what they refer to as the "frog" the part of the switch that moves. You might try what they call a snap relay which you connect to the switch to power the dead spot in it. Hope this helps.
