Has anyone dealt with Bowser directly for replacement parts?
Yes, with excellent service.

I am missing a few parts for a L1 Mikado kit that I recently picked up, and was wondering how well they responded to people requesting replacement parts.
You may or may not be already aware of this - Bowser stopped production of the steam loco kits some time ago, and as kits and parts for them sell out they are not making any new. Hopefully the parts you need are still in stock. Don't delay with your request!
My L-1 Mikado was also missing a couple parts. One was a Cal Scale brass detail, and the other was very specific to the Bowser tender. I contacted them about a year after they stopped kit production, and they sent the parts immediately and free of charge.

Bowser has excellent service. I find it best to deal with them by phone (they have a 1-800 number). http://www.bowser-trains.com/index.htm

Thanks for the great info guys. I am only missing the marker lights for the pilot and the tender. I have the jewels, but the lights were not in the kit. I was just wondering if it was worth it to contact them, or try to locate the markers myself. I think I will give them a call during my lunch break one day this week.
Heck if you're up for a roadtrip, Head east on I-80 and check out their retail store near Williamsport.
