BLI On30 C-16 Help, stopped running
Posted by RedGrey62 on Monday, November 29, 2010 1:01 PM

Looking for advice on a BLI Blueline On30 C-16 (2-8-0).  We are running it on straight DC.  While running, it derailed over a switch and when rerailed, didn't run.  It normally had the sounds at start up and the light comes on before actually moving.  Now it only has a humming coming from the locomotive (not the tender).  We pulled the body off the tender to check the electonics and didn't see anything wrong (broken wires, etc).  Also pulled the running gear/motor out and again, everything appears to be connected and no wires shorting.  Turned the motor by finger and everything moved with no binding.

This is for a layout we are raffling off for charity starting today (timing is perfect!).  I've also emailed BLI for help.  Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks

Ricky

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

Rich, that was my first stop to see if anything had been reported.  I will post my question there as soon as I remember my login info!

After looking thru the manual and online, I have yet to figure out how to reset the jumper.  How do I find the jumper as the exploded view doesn't have labels for the parts.   Everything they have points to reseting in DCC operation versus DC.  I even broke out the Digitrax system to try and reset using the instructions on their website to no avail.

Thanks

Got down to the basement this morning the new ones don't have a reset jumper. I have two and one has lost it's sound. Probably a quality control issue.
