Do you see a pin or something similar anywhere? My Westside 4-4-0 has the front coupler mounted with a pin in the back. I also have a Rivarossi Dockside 0-4-0 that had the front coupler mounted by using the mounting pin of a lift bar stanchion.

Hi

At the end of the coupler  bar, which extends through the front pilot, there is a round , solid cylydrical  shall we say lump which prevents the coupler from pulling out of the front pilot opening. I have given this a gentle twist and pull and nothing gave easily. I could cut the coupler bar but hoped there was an easier way.
