Woodland Scenics: old bags of turf found
Posted by MStLfan on Saturday, September 25, 2010 8:33 AM

Just wondering. After cleaning out a storage area I happened upon some old bags of Woodland Scenics turf. Is there an expiration date for these kind of products? I do know that the foam can loose its colour from direct sunlight etc. but should I use it after all these years or buy new?

greetings,

Naomi

If it is ground foam turf, it is probably OK. I have a lot of old bags of the stuff that I have used with no problems. The thing to do is open a bag, and do a small test area.

If it's the ground foam then no expiration date. Use it. Enjoy it.

Yeah, it's ground foam or ground walnut shells, not ground beef or ground coffee - go ahead and use it.
