It was in Concord NH, put on by the Concord Model Railroad Club. It rained all day, making it perfect to going to a show. The Concord club and the Ammonoosuc Valley club brought very good modular layouts which were up and running. The rest of the floor space was filled with a good assortment of dealers. Funaro and Camerlengo had a two table spread covered with beautiful resin kits, all unbuilt, all pure white, and not cheap. The new Osgood Bradley passenger coach (aka American Flyer coach) was present in large numbers. It looks beautiful and costs a bunch, $60 to $75 apiece, for an injection molded plastic model, not brass. The North Shore club had a big double wide table piled high with interesting stuff. They had a pair of trucks for a Northeastern wood craftsman passenger coach kit that's been waiting to be built. The prize find was a big batch of assorted strip wood for only $2. Between watching traiins, hunting for bargains, and chatting with old acquaintances I didn't leave til nearly quitting time.
HO railroading has risen in price. Rolling stock prices are up nearly as high as Lionel O-gauge. Even the well worn cars loose in cartons under the table are going for $5 apiece. Locomotives start at $100 and go up from there.
