<p> I have never understood, why they make such a big fuss about that Italian guy who supposedly discovered America in 1492.</p><p>To my knowledge, it was Bjarne, Herjulf Bardson's son, in the year 986, who was the first pale-faced man whose eyes looked upon the American continent - 506 years before "maledetto Christoforo Colombo" thought he´d found his way to India... [swg] Bjarne must have landed somewhere close to a place we know now as Nova Scotia - <b>DerJohn</b> can probably tell us...[:D]<br></p>
