Another great thing is to see if people quote what you said. Makes you feel like quite the Shakespeare when your verse lives on in other posts.

Hi Ed [:)]

Gee I must have missed this thread on the first go around. But here I am. A day (or more) late and a dollar (actually a whole bunch of them) short.

<Now I wonder if anyone will quote me on that one?> [;)]

Oh, Ed, I will check back. [:D]

I voted yes, however, it depends on whether or not I had enough interest in the subject to go there again.

Yes and no. It also depends on WHO started the thread and WHO has replied to the thread. There are times that I really am not interested in the title but go into the thread because of who started it or who has replied to it.

I started a thread in the trains.magazine forum yesterday called, "Duck Duck Goose" and believe it or not it IS train related. Everytime I see the title to THAT thread it quacks me up. [:D] [;)] [:D]

A thread is a topic, such as this one, where we post and reply to other comments by other forum members.

Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010

I love you and miss you Mom. Say hi to everyone up there for me. Rest in peace and comfort. Love, John. 29 March 2017

I am egotistical enough to check back a time or two after I have posted something to see if anybody had anything glowing (or flaming) to say about it. Or if I got something wrong, I may get a chance to find out the "truth."

I was disappointed I never got any response to my design for a small switching layout based on the MGM studio back lot of the 1930s-40s.

Thats a cool layout, you should send that plan and a description to Carl Arendt's Micro-layout webpage:

I think there's a little "kellogs" in all of us!, So let go my ego!

Responses can be a funny thing and can depend on what time during the day you post and even what day.

Wow, I must have missed that one--that is a sweet little switching layout! And considering the setting, you could run just about any kind of equipment on it that you wanted, as long as it was small--old West steamers, diesel switchers, European prototypes, and PE trolleys and freight motors along the outer edge! Kudos!
