<p> I received my first copy of MR in January 1971. I was a 15 year old boy then, dreaming of a big Marklin layout, which, at that time, was more like tinplate toy trains.</p><p> I remember "devouring" all those h2- articles in MR, especially those on detailing or rebuilding locos, something we rarely see nowadays. It was MR that got me started on scratchbuilding structures. Just reading the "old" mags again after many years brought back fond memories and, honestly,</p><p><b><i>I´d like to see some more of these articles in today´s MR. </i></b></p><p>Finally, it was MR that made me turn from playing with trains to being a model railroader! <br></p><p> </p>
