I just received my Kalmbach's "....Guide to Steel Mills." This is the book I have been searching for the last umpteen years. Loads of pictures and diagrams that show and explain all the facets of steelmaking, as well as ideas for modeling it. Thanks, Bernie, it's a great read. Now I have no excuse for not finishing my Walther's steel complexes ( I have N and Ho versions). If you like steel, you'll want this book.

I just picked it up yesterday. I'm very impressed. The book is a wealth of information regarding steel making, but as Mr. Kempinski says, it just scratches the surface. It was also cool to see some of the mills my grandfather worked in.
