I am only doing one insert per photo from Photo Bucket but it doublesin the post.  I have no idea why.  I can't see the HTML code to correct.

I notice text "mce_src=" between the photos and "> at the end of the second duplicate. Maybe this has something to do with  it?? Confused

Very nice job on the turntable.  I like the weed effect in the pit.

 Good work everyone!

Well, I did some scenery work this weekend and weathering work this weekend and last. I need to clean off the tracks still, but here's some pics of the new scene:

Got these Spectrum F40pHs in 1990, ran them once, removed the details and stripped the paint.  Boxed them up due to a move.  Un-boxed last week. Removed the crappy cast pilot, fabricated new onces, added DA plows, MU hoses, windshield wipers, scale grab irons.  This is my fantasy scheme for CSX business trains. Like a not so dark future.  Applied it to the E8s last summer.

Super photos this weekend all!!! Monday's the start of MY weekend so here's my contribution.  A new/old addition to my roster. This a Rivarossi Hudson #5405. Purchased brand new by my father in 1967 at my birth. It was recently in the hands of an elderly fellow model railroader who's forte is S scale. He repairs old Tinplate, Lionel, American Flyer stuff for his friends and agreed to give this one a shot for me. The loco was delivered to him in rough, rough shape. Mishandling by kids and an occasional drop to the floor rendered it one step away from the landfill. But my friend's 83 year old eyesight and arthritic hands repaired destroyed siderods, replaced brushes, tires and overhauled and cleaned the motor and handed it back to me yesterday. Runs like a champ again! Still needs a bit more TLC as the headlight needs replaced, weight added to the tender, and figure out how to secure the boiler. The clips that held it onto the frame were broken off decades ago. There is also a chip out of the top of the boiler that may just have to stay that way. But I am certainly overjoyed at how she came out in comparison to how she used to be!

Great stuff as usual guys.

I've been out of town for a few days and couldn't post while away. Thought I'd post a photo of my finished General Industries Scene.

This is still the best thread of the week. Thanks to all who posted.

Remember its your railroad

This is my first-ever post to WPF, I never had the courage before. I've just done my first ballasting, as well

 Please be gentle, guys.

Justin, welcome to WFP. From the looks of things you need to post more often!

How long is your passenger platform and how many cars does it services? As you may have seen I am building one out of match sticks. So far with the one I am building and the main station I have 36 inches of platform. I have 8 passenger cars two baggage cars. Guessing I need about another 24 inches of platform.

Your second picture, is it a loading dock or passenger station? Snow covered building threw me off.

I think that one plant in the first picture is a little out of scale! Whistling

Justin, why would you need courage to post such amazing pictures? You have done a very nice job on your layout. The ballasting job looks very nice (Much better than mine, if I might add). Everything looks pretty good. One thing that might help you on scenicing mountains is to take white glue and brush it on in between the trees. Then, take some sifted dirt from your backyard, and sprinkle that on before the glue dries. Pour on just enough to hide the plaster (at least, thats what I think your using). This will also give a hold for Woodland Scenics grass to hold on to. I hope my tips helped, and I am waiting to see more pictures next WPF.

 You're both very kind.

I took another two pictures, a bit more like the befores (and I've done a bit more ballast):

The platform is 50 inches long, and fits 3 coaches and one loco.

The mountain is plaster, and I will try your suggestion with dirt+grass

I am particularly fond of those two water towers in the top image.

MRL's GP35 #404

This is an Athearn RTR that I custom painted, weathered, and detailed to match the prototype.  Ditch lights work without no visible wires.

Click onto my photo in my signature to see the rest of my MRL fleet that are in verious stages of being completed.

Not photoed is my unpainted SD45, 2 SD9s, and a SDP40 that I am currently kitbashing.
