Trix 4-8-8-4 BigBoy details I NEED SOME HELP!
Posted by cmcleod on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 3:05 PM

I recently purchased a Trix 4-8-8-4 BigBoy off of a web auction. The model is in great shape save for some minor flaws. The first is two of the small grab iron anchors along the catwalk that runs down the side of the boiler are broken. The other is the connection for the whistle that goes into the side of the boiler on the right hand side just under the whistle is broken as well. I have tried to find the replacements but have hit dead ends in my area. Can anyone give me an idea of where i can find these parts?

Your est bet would probably be places like Greenway Brass or Precision scale models wiould be your best bet. Do a search for detail parts of see if you can do a Trix parts search

Just my 2 cents worth, I spent the rest on trains. If you choked a Smurf what color would he turn?

Anything wrong with contacting the Manufacturer? Trix have an excellent spares service.
