Hello, refering to the "Walthers Champion Packing Plant" I would like to know if the "cattle ramp" is an add-on or can it be discarded? The reason of my question is that I looked all over to find a back view of the kit but I didn't find any. Does the cattle ramp lead to a doorway going into the building?
I would like to use this kit for another kind of industry, it's just the right size for my layout.

Hello Serge .... The ramp takes cattle up to the middle floor of the building. These photos will show you.

I noticed you strategically placed the Ice House right beside the Packing Plant, it looks real good.
Serge, you are welcome, and thanks for the comments. Here is a front view of the packing plant. The stock pens to the right in this view have a walkway connecting to the left of the building. The walkway goes behind the building and under the ramp. I had to remove some of the cross members of the support structure of the ramp for this walkway.
Inside the building is electronic sound effects of cattle mooing.
Thanks again Garry, I forgot to mention that I really like the weathering you did on the building and I also like the sky and clouds in your backdrop they look authentic.
I know this is an old post but I cant view the images. Could you send them to me, I am having the same problem of now knowing where the ramp goes and cannot find any pictures of the rear of building. [EDIT] Appreciate any help.

I built my Champion Packing plant without the ramps. They are optional and you can use them in other arrangements.
I also reversed the front and back walls so my loading dock is on the same side that the ramp would have gone.

The ramp was originally supposed to lead up to the second story where I have the wooden door and the fire escape mounted. You could also use brick sheet to "blank out" the door opening. It doesn't even have to match since many old buildings had doors or windows bricked-over with whatever brick was cheap and available.

I am not able to rescue two of the photos from PhotoBucket. Here is another photo,
The ramp stands on its own legs and is not attached to the building. Instead, it is placed against the building. The top end of the ramp makes a right angle turn to enter the bulding at the back. One of the windows is replaced by a door at that location.
