Making a little progress on Elkins...  Crappy phone photo and all...

The track is all laid, with the exception of the lead for a 2-track engine house, and all but one of the switch throws is wired.  Once that's done, I'll take the section down so I can install the full wiring to the underside, then I can paint the track and get it ready for ballast and scenery.

I'll be building a flat of the station you see there.  The photo I took in Elkins three years ago reproduced a little small...but you get the idea.  I'll use my design program to generate a scale rendering, and from there I'll scratch out a model of it.

Well, the sd cards my dad ordered for our phones came today, so here's a crappy lit shot of the beginnings of my forest. that's 4 trees made from wire, green moss (bought at the dollar tree), hairspray (also dollar tree), and several shades of green turf.

Thank you! I have the supplies to make plenty of those trees, but they're time consuming, and a bit tedious to make.

I agree, I am using the Woodland scenics brand trees and armatures and they too are also very time consuming.
