Formerly of VTR, or a different conductor?
I think the new trackwork is almost ready for the operating session... I was running trains yesterday with my little brother, and we had no derailments or track problems, even after 2 weeks of inactivity and no cleaning! This may seem insignificant, but Alex knows just how bad my dirty track problems were before I installed the plastic sheeting on the ceiling!

Actually, there were two derailments... One was at the foot of the grade, a known problem area that I need to repair. The other was caused by a dummy GP30 being shoved at full speed over the diverging leg of a #6 turnout by an engineer trainee... (there's a reason railroads don't hire 2 year olds!) The truck hit the frog, bounced up (properly weighted cars and powered locos don't have this problem), and derailed, shorting out. Need to add more weight!

Now I just need to lay New Poland and repair the rest of the layout...
