Just after Christmas a friend of mine forwarded me this article about a mutual aquaintance of ours from college. It appears that there is a whole world of model railroading out there I knew nothing about. Constructing model trains from specialized versions of Lego bricks. In this case he had constructed a running model of a Shay locomotive, which is apparently considered something of an accomplishment among his fellow modelers.

The one thing I am not entirely sure of, is what MRR scale these creations approximate.
I have figured out what is wrong with my brain! On the left side nothing works right, and on the right side there is nothing left!
The lego guys I know have some awesome reditions of diesels, but that Shay is a bute.
FOr square diesels, it's somewhere near O scale.
