BROADWAY LIMITED SW-7
Posted by grizlump9 on Saturday, September 26, 2009 2:07 PM

i am considering buying a bl sw-7 with sound.  i have one of their plain vanilla nw-2's and am happy with it but wish it could handle a few more cars.  anyone out there have any experience with the sound equipped sw-7?

I don't have the SW7, but I do have an NW2 with sound. They are probably built the same on the inside.

The speaker isn't milled into the frame like other engines. It's actually a button speaker that is part of the board. MR has a review for it.

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....

2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.

I just received one on Friday that is the UP color scheme. I am liking it, but it is much slower than my NW2. I have not broke it in yet, but the sound is good. I had to turn the sound way down.

Kato makes the NW2 in N (or at least they did) but does anyone make the SW7 N scale? I'm more of a fan of the latter (7 and up) SW series switchers.
