Hi

I have been testing BLI AC4 for our local NMRA Regional magazine.

Just fabulous is the best way to describe it. I noted comments about the air pump sound and BLI in their info refer to the sound of the air pumps. On the AC4 AC5 the air pumps exhaust was through the stack and the sound was muffled. On later locos AC6 on up the sound was not muffled and directly to the air. Apparently the sound on the AC4 and 5 models is correct.

It runs superbly and sounds fantastic. I have tested it so far on DC and it is the best sounding steam loco I have ever heard DCC or DC. I hope to finish my review by running on a friends DCC layout and I am sure it will be even better.

There are minor discrepancies on the cab front for the AC4 as it appears more like my references of an AC5 cab. All are very minor and very easy to fix.

Sowerby
