Transfer caboose construction articles
Posted by rstaller on Thursday, September 10, 2009 8:57 PM

Anyone have a link for transfer caboose construction?  I've got a couple of flat cars, and Moloco transfer caboose kits, but I'd like to look at a pictured article before I start.

Here's an online Model Railroader article by Larry Puckett from August 2002 - seems to have plenty of photos with it.

Here is an article by Larry Puckett - http://www.chattanoogadepot.com/buildingtransfercaboose.html - it was published in MR. It starts off with an existing flat car.

It shows a prototype photo, and several shots of building a replica. This doesn't use the Moloco kit on a flat car - but would be similar from what I know of the Moloco kit.

Hope this helps,
Gil

That's a really nice transfer caboose.  I have three of the moloco kits, and will build them on 30' to 40' flats I have.  Then I think I'll freelance on using these articles.  Again much Thanks to all who replied
