Turtle Creek Timber Companies 2 spot pics
Posted by climaxpwr on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 6:57 PM

Fresh from the locomotive backshop is my logging line's first engine.  She is a 24 ton, 2 truck shay built to the same standards as Hillcrest Lumber #1 shay.   I have added 8 wheel pickup, polished and tuned the drive system and drilled the headlights for adding lighting.  Model is a PFM Brass Hillcrest shay.  Decals are a mix of the TCC set from Microscale, along with some from thier Logging RR set.  Benchwork for the new layout is under construction, hope to run the first train up to camp by this fall.  Other than MV lenses, anybody have a good way to make headlight "glass" so I can light them up.  I am not real good at cutting circles.  Enjoy the pics.   Mike
