I thought I'd share my work since I last posted. I've added a small oil distributor and some posts and chain around the truck parking at the pasta plant. Lots of details needed every where. Nothing is glued down so it will be easy to put decals on and weathering at the work bench. Employees wanted here! My next concern is laying out and building roads to the two facilities. After that I may lay more track behind the pasta plant or start with the ground cover around the plants. Being my first layout every task is a new experience and I'm anxious as to how the road building goes. Any + / - comments appreciated.

Not a bad start so far. I see you picked a great road to model also....... Is that a Chessie GP38 or a 40?

Hey NIK.4,
I don't have a diagram as it is free lanced. I cleared the layout (needed to do that any way) and took the attached pic. It's a double main with a cross over on each side and two reverse loops. The brown area on the left is for a proposed station and the open circular area is for the fictional town of Wink, VA. The loop in the forground is to be hidden with a rising elevation. Behind me and the "mountain" will be the village of Blink, WV if my wife will dispose of a set of dining room chairs that have been siting there for many years. Some sort of bribe may be necessary. In the area at the window there may be a small industry or two with an engine house and servicing facilities. On around to the right will be the yard probably described as a parking lot.
Already I have to do some reconstruction as I want a water facility such as a pond or river and every RR needs a bridge.
Hope this helps.
PS: Are you the tatoo guy?? That's something else.
Hey bogp40,
The engine is a SD 35 low nose made by Atlas DCC W/S. I also have B&O & CSX along with a couple of Alcos decorated for the Winchester and Western, a local short line.
Thanks.
