I did something a little different in regard to lighting in my basement train room, <br />I did not hardwire my lighting. I mounted Outlet boxes on the floor joists and all <br />my lights plug into these outlets. It gives me great flexibility to change fixtures or <br />change from flourescents to incandescents as I desire. The cost of doing this is <br />slightly higher, but well worth it to me.
