I always said brass looks better than plastic
That gold paint won't last long.
I'm guessing modeling that would be a cinch with an unpainted brass O5, just add decals and the light and your done.

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....
2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.
One story was that it was done to celebrate the railroad's 100th Anniversary.
Another was that it was done as a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the model railroaders who were running their (then-new and expensive) brass imports in 'undecorated' condition.
Either way, more than a few 'traditionalist' railfans went ballistic.

Isn't that Burlington 4-8-4 a beauty, though? It shows up here kind of often lately when we talk about the ULTIMATE brass model, LOL!
But seriously, folks, when it comes to beautiful 4-8-4's, how come BLI, PCM, Genesis or MTH hasn't released THIS one? IMO those Burlingtons were some of the most handsome Northerns ever built!
