This is just out of the paint shop. She is now headed to the Denver shops to get the sill striping addded to comply with the FRA. She will also get a plow at the denver shops.

Beautiful work. I was sorry when the Southen scheme was dropped from the Walthers GP 30 run because I know that I could never paint one myself. You really captured it. Werner

Never heard of a road slug before, but rather a good looking engine, was this loco popular?????

Nice work. CSX also transformed GP30's into road slugs. I know a CSX engineer who prefered to use the slug as the lead unit because it was quiet and air-conditioned.CSX road slugs had an operating fuel tank to transfer fuel to the powered unit.  joe
