changing handles
Posted by n2mopac on Monday, March 29, 2004 8:58 AM
I have had this same user id since the first day this site started. At that time I modeled MoPac, but that is no longer true. MoPac is, I suppose, still my first love as it is the railroad that I grew up watching in my home town, but it would be nice to have a handle that reflected my current modeling endeavors. So, my question is can I change my user id without losing all of my user stats (stars). I know that the stars aren't really that important (except maybe to these guys that post 10 replies a day), but I hate to start over looking like a newbie. Can anyone tell me how to do this or if it is possible at all.
Thanks,
Ron

It's not possible to carryover your number of posts. I changed my screen name to Snake 1 Dec. '03. I e-mailed the webmaster asking if the "Joined Date" and number of post could be tranferred but got no reply. I took that as a no! I've heard of others that "started over" by changing their screen name.

To me stars mean nuttin' it's the meat of the info posted that counts.

If you do change your screen name, let me be the first to [#welcome] you as a newbie to the forum. [:D]

Believe or not "Fergus" is hung up on 499. I changed over to Fergmiester just because and though I'm heavy handed, stars belong in the heavens. So do I stop at 499? Wait and see. As far being a newbie as long as your interesting and play nice we don't care how many stars are in the "Toy Box".
