YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Rivarossi FEF-3 (#844) came today (less than 24 hours after I ordered it!!!!!!!), and I must say, I am greatly impressed! The detailing is SUBURB, and it runs beautifuly. I also found out it can take 18" curves. I only found 3 problems with it: 1. When it runs at higher speeds, the engine kind of whines. 2. The cab roof came off before I got it out of the box (do I put the handrails on to keep it on?). 3. You can really hear the "clickity clack" of my sectional track when this loco runs on it. But otherwise, it's a VERY fine model. Anyone planning on getting this locomotive should do it! My thanks to everyone at Rivarossi.

Go easy on it ! Give it time to break in. Is there any information in the instructions about break in and lubrication?

Hey! I built up enough money to get my FEF too. I ordered a Grayhound unit yesterday. Everyone boast about how hard this locomotive is, so I guess it's alright.

Count youself lucky! Anytime I order states side I have to wait 4-6 weeks. I hope you enjoy the new brute. As far as the break in, I always double what the manufacturer advises.

Enjoy!!

Congratulations Jonathon,
that is how we like the mail to work: FAST
I want it, and I want it NOW!
"OK here it is"
"Thank you postal-dude!"

I had to wait a year for mine to be delivered, and btw It also had the cab-roof off!

I got mine this morning. My cab roof is off too. But it looks as if it were factory glued, but it didn't adhere correctly. This large gray beast is awsome!
