Middle of August 1925 and old uncle Albert has been down in the woods producing the main ingredient for the "Sisters Tonic Recipe".  Seems that he got into a bit himself.  Well he has to make sure that each batch comes out right doesn't he?  He wasn't sure about this batch and need to sample about half a jug before he decided it was right on the spot........

Suddenly he jumps up and heads up the path out of the woods as fast as he can.  Yelling all the way to the farm house he tells the kids to get in the house and lock all the doors.  Says he heard and saw somethin' just awful out there and he wants to everyone safe 'till it goes away (which will probably be about the same time as his headache subsides tomorrow........)

What could it have been?  Doesn't look like there is anything at the production lab.

Maybe old Uncle Albert is finally losing it. After all, he has been sampling the "Recipe" for years and this has never happened before.  Wait, what's that over to the South of the woods?  Could it be what Uncle Albert heard and saw?  what is it?

I think Uncle Albert got out just in time, don't you?  I sure would have!  On the other hand, maybe he should not sample quite as much next time.

Hi Ray: That is a great story. You're "production lab" isn't too shabby, either. Keep up the good work! BTW, where did you find a scale beast like that?

Here's my plan, w/ the buildings spelled out. IDK if it's to scale, and that red line ain't planned in, I'm still debating whether to move the line through there (I don't think I will now). I ain't changing it, this is what I want.

Thank You Grampy!  The elephant is a metal item from Selley (a Division of Bowser).  I originally wanted the White Rabbit from the movie Harvey, but couldn't find anything that could be used. The still is a Woodland Scenics Kit. The Pink Elephant is well hidden in the woods so it should be seen only when someone is really checking out my scenery.  I have several simiar little "scenes" around the layout.  Most are more believable like the raccoon up the tree looking at you and the bear waving at you from the mountain behind the Ice House.

Not much new to report... been mucking out under the layout in preparation for rearranging a few things...  So here's a few oldies but goodies.

Have a great week everyone.  Wish me luck, I start a new job on Wednesday!  Hooray for Paychecks!

Everyone, there is some very impressive photos this week.  I like all the fall scenes that are popping up.

Here's what I've been working on the past few nights.

Continuing the Green lane Bridge project.  I added in the main arches.  There is a double layer of styrene with H and I beam styrene in between.  They graduate from smaller to wider from center to the edge.  I'll show it better in the video once I upload it.

This is the first layer of styrene being glued to the angled piers.

This is when I added in the second layer.  I forgot to take pix of the I and H beams that separate the layers.

I'll get the video up soon.

Keep the axels greased and the tender full, we're rollin' now.

Hi all: Lots of great shots this week.  Well done.  After I posted this week, having done some cutting and welding myself, I noticed some safety concerns. The shop crew moved that tank car a little farther into the shop and the oxy-acetylene tanks were secured in the bed of a pickup. Safety First!
