Is is possible to ballast EZ Track?

Yes I did note that a section of track is on carpet, thats the idea behind the ad, that you can use EZ Track on the deep pile of your living room carpet or ballasted on a prototype layout. And when it's done correctly it looks good. I use EZ track when I set up my ceramic Christmas village under the tree on a 56" x 80 " panel door layout and it works great. as for my prototype layout I use all Atlas flex track so I can make the radius and easements that I want and I am not confined to what a manufacturer offers. I have had good results with ez track my Christmas trains run 8 to 12 hours a day with no electrical or derailment problems. <br />Beeline
