I wonder if CP knows about this?
Just an interesting find...

It's a photoshop...I guess Tropicana wasn't happy with photos of just reefers, they wanted to have a loco too....
I think CSX hauls their trains, Tropicana doesn't own any locos. (at least, not any road locos, they may have an in-plant switcher for all I know.)

I know, I've seen the juice train. I'm just wondering if Tropicana cleared legal matters with CP.
Yeah, I know you knew that. (I'd hope so anyway..)
I bet CP will sue them....they don't get any profit off having a good relationship with Tropicana, and it doesn't help them for someone else to use their scheme, or does it? I suppose brand placement, but it might confuse people if the names don't match...
Just for the sake of it, I sent Tropicana a short but detailed email letting them know of the discrepancy, including the aggressive efforts of modern railroad corporations to protect trademarks.
I received an automated response a few minutes later that reads:
Thank you for your email.Your message has been forwarded to a Consumer Relations Representative where it will be answered in the order it was received. Our goal is to respond to emails within 2 business days, although if volumes are heavy it might take a bit longer.Regards,Tropicana Consumer Relations<http://www.tropicana.com/>
So, for those that my flame me for doing this, my attitude is: If it helped, great.....if not.....Oh well. It took me less than a minute during my lunch break

Or, perhaps, an Amtrak pumpkin...

In May 2007 MR,page 71, there's a pic of a leased ex-Conrail geep switching cars at their Jersey City plant.
When they were located in Kearny, NJ (in what is now a CSX car shop) they had a GE 44 tonner.
Free juice boxes for the CP annual meeting
Mine doesn't move.......it's at the station!!!
I'd imagine since that stripes on the nose of the engine aren't something that are unique to CP. Other railroads use them too. Just like railroads that might by ex-CP power. It doesn't always get painted....
The red and white color scheme? VTR, CLP, and other reporting marks use those colors as well.
Don't see what any legal complications might come up because there's no infringment.

They are Canadian, we dont have our fingers on the 'sue' button waiting for someone to do us wrong.....David B

Guess I'm too used to all those threads over on the TRAINS.com where people get hit by trains then sue... plus UP's big lawsuit. I have to say, not suing over the slightest thing is a nice change!
Well I did email them. Here's the latest response I received from the "Trop".
RE: The Tropicana Company , REF.# 026463988A Tropicana Consumer: We're delighted to know that you have been
enjoying Tropicana since the 1970s.
Please be assured that your comments will be shared

Thought this should be mentioned:
The picture of the locomotive that you have on your web ad is a
Canadian Pacific Railroad unit. Modern rail corporations like UP and CP
earned reputations for being protective of their trademarks.
A more appropriate photo would have been that of a modern CSX
locomotive as this is the transportation company that actually hauls
the famous Juice Train from Florida to points northward.EMAIL*MESSAGE*END
ArtOfRuin wrote:If you look on some of Tropicana's OJ boxes, you'll see a photoshopped widecab Crash8/9 colored orange and missing some details (like the radiator flares) leading a Tropicana reefer. It even makes reference to the Juice Train (but not CSX).
I also noticed that the reefer is riding on 6-axle locomotive trucks and has a GE style fuel tank.
