<p>I use #4s except for mainline crossovers; I have no problems with long cars (even autoracks!) except for an Athearn Gen. 60 foot box; which likes to derail in some spots. I can run 6 axle units, including a C40-8, but it looks rather odd.</p><p>I woud be careful about code 83 #4s though, the rail size is smaller, which may lesson leeway. </p>
