Where can I find information on constructing a trolley system which actually draws power from the trolley wires? Thanks.

Does the "T" in "Tman" stand for traction or trolley?
We covered construction of a working trolley wire system in the February 2000 MODEL RAILROADER. The article is called "Stringing the overhead," on pages 72-77, and it's part 5 of a series by Harvey Simon on modeling the Boston MTA. (This series began in October '99 and ran through March 2000.)
good luck,
