I agree. Ebay is great. I've bought a lot of RR stuff off there. Never had a problem (except one time I bought a train set and the guy shipped me a different set and it turned out he didn't the correct set!). Infact just recently I bought a Monogram Big Boy model kit and hope to get it next week. But, I NEVER buy anything from people who say "I don't know a thing about trains", or if it's a loco, "loco is old and hasn't run in a long time, I don't have a track to test it on".
