There are RR ancyclopedias out that give the REAL dimensions of the locos. If you read the reviews of new products in the RR magazines, they tell you that such and such is 2 inches to high or 3 inches shorter than the prototype. they are measuring the model and comparing it to the demensions in these encyclopediads. So , to answere the question, are they to scale? YES. for how little they are off would never be picked up by someone looking at it unless they actually measure it........Jamie
