I'm not sure how small you are talking about, but here are two links to pics of my layout. I wouldn't consider it good by any means but I hope this will help you. Keep in mind that I,m still working on it so it's not in the best shape. The first is the left side and the second is the right side. On the left is a 2X4 ft staging yard and on the right is the interchange that leads to my test track over my desk. It is only 4X9 foot but I'm happy with it so far.
