Trouble programing DCC with MRC system
Posted by Truck on Monday, January 21, 2008 8:56 PM

Hello everyone.I am new here but have been model railroading for about four years now.

My question is:  Has anybody had problems programing or reading CV's with MRC prodigy advanced 2 squared?  I cannot read CV's on Tsunami decoders even using the power pax program track booster.  Tony's Trains could'nt help me with this.  Maybe somebody out there can help me with my problem.  I called MRC and they have not called back.

Some decoders don't read back the CVs. Not sure about the MRCs.

Soudtraxx makes the tsunami decoder. and from what I am told, and have read I should be able to read and write CV's on this particular decoder using Dcc industies  Powerpax program track booser on my MRC system. I am just curious if anyone has had a problem. And what they did to fix it.

MRC's  do not read sound decoders well, not even their own.  I can sometimes read them (on the programing track) if I turn all the sound functions off first.
