What's the big stink on "Made in China?" Is there a problem that a company sends their molds to a foreign maker to have the kits made?

Phil
Nothing if don't mind buying stuff made by people that are pretty much forced to work 16 hour days, 360 days a year in factories where fingers are cut off at a rate of 50,000/year (or was that per month?) in industrial accidents. Where if they look cross eyed at their boss they can be fired for life and never work again. As long as you don't care about that. Go ahead and buy 12 pair of tube socks for $3.50 that will wear out in 2 months anyhow.

ME. I'm tired of returning stuff to the store that breaks after 1 week of use due to crappy workmanship. Even if you shop at a higher dollar store instead of Wally World your still hard pressed to find anything made in the USA. I just bought 3 deep fryers before getting 1 that worked right. ALL made in China. Went to 5 stores. Couldn't find a single one made in the U.S.

Other than that, their cheap craps GREAT!!! :(
They quit making durable goods long ago Sir. The US Customer no longer buys one appliance that will last 30 years as they used to be able to do.

The entire world runs on disposible appliances that are not expected to last a year in the home.

Take my coffee pot as an example. I paid all of 14 dollars for it at the dollar store. I put the thing into service about 8 months ago. It needed 7 minutes to make a pot of coffee. Now it needs 24 to make the same pot despite regular cleanings with vinegar and water mix. I expect to spend another 14 dollars by september to replace this with another of the same brand.

Much cheaper than running into Spendbucks.. uhh.. Starbucks for 5.00 coffee that fries your mind after lunch and leaves you comatose by dinner time due to the caffine crash and the sugar rush from all the crap they top the coffies with.

I tracked a local starbucks near a hospital once waiting on a medical appointment. The same people went in there, spent 3 dollars for a coffee on the morning break, lunch hour and the PM break. That is like 10 dollars a day plus thier little munchies.

That is where the money is going folks.. not the wally world appliance rack by the burndouts spendall sale.
