I got to go to BNSF Flynn Yard
Posted by mikesmowers on Monday, December 24, 2007 3:40 PM

Good Christmas Eve to everyone. I just returned home from Okla. City where we had our Christmas yesterday. But... Yesterday morning my nephew took me to Flynn yard in south OKC. This was the first time I have had the chanch to really do any rail fanning, man was it faciniating! I ask at the tower if it was alright to take a few pics (I didn't want to get in trouble) They told me it was OKay but to stay off the tracks. We looked around a while and I took some pics and thought I would share some of them with you. Flynn yard is right next to the Budweiser plant, as a matter of fact there is a track that comes from Flynn Yard thru a gate and into the plant. I could see some boxcars inside the plant.

There is also a place in OKC called Trinity Industries that make tank cars, I found this interesting. We couldn't get inside but I took a few pics.

There was a semi truck that was loaded with train wheels and axles that was pulling into the building but by the time I got stopped and tried to get a pic, it was already inside the building.

This was an interesting trip, I hope you enjoy the pics.      Mike
