power selective turnout and wye

just a quick question. Do power selective turnout ( i.e: peco) need additional wiring on wye? the tail track for my wye will be a peco wye qwith a motor monunted on it, so im wondering if it'll need additional wiring ... thanks

I'm sure someone else will give you a better answer soon, but in the mean time, and I am assuming your talking about a "turn-around" wye made up of 3 switch tracks and 3 "legs" between, I would think you would want a power feeder on each "leg" of the wye, and possibly some sort of polarity reversal(a module if DCC, a simple toggle switch if DC). I would also think that you would NEED to insulate the joints between the switches and their respective "legs".

Any reversing section of track (wye, reverse loop, etc.) needs special wiring, for DC or DCC.  The turnout motors themselves need no special wiring, though for automatic reverse section operation the motors might be included in the special track wiring.  Refer to the appropriate books for further info.
